I chose one of my favorite pink rose teacups and teapots to share today. Can you imagine having an entire teaset of either of these sweeties?

The teacup is a thin, delicate, porcelain covered in soft pink roses. I love the shape of the handle and it looks kind of like a little heart! There are dainty scallops and hints of golden wash on the edges.
The tea pot has the cutest little cottage pink rosebuds scattered all about, with more gold touches. The "shell" shape design reminds me of a Grandmothers Flower Garden Quilt design!

The pot is marked SADLER ENGLAND on the bottom as is most of my favorite teapots! The cup and saucer has a makers mark pattern that I can not figure out and is signed M.Z. Austria with a handpainted 9. I hope you enjoyed my selections this week.

Today I am sharing with you some more of the pretty china pieces a very dear friend send me to care for! Am I not the luckiest ducky in the pond or what!!
The most charming Paragon Teapot has a delightful wreath of cottage garden flowers ~ roses, iris, tulips, anemonies, asters ~ circling around the upper half and lid. I simply adore it with it's dainty scallops, swirly handle and painted golden touches.


This huge box had me reaching into a Lifetime supply :-) of packing popcorn and gasping out loud as I carefully opened each piece and matched the cups up with the saucers. Eleven exquisite Paragon cup and saucer sets in a rainbow of pastel sherbet shades with rich black! Oh my!
I'll showcase more of them in another tuesday post.

I chose this pretty blue one today with it's Spring tulips and jonquils. How artfully the flowers are arranged in the cup and a sweet little arrangement on the saucer! The flowers base is a transfer design with painted details and all the black is carefully handpainted around everything! The artists must definitely drink decaffinated tea to have such a steady hand ;-)

Isn't it interesting how the design does not lose perspective when looking into the cup - it looks like a plate! The bottom mark is PARAGON ~ By appointment H.M. QUEEN & H.M. QUEEN MARY ~ Fine Bone China ENGLAND Reg

Ahhhh look at this sweet teapot! It is marked TUSCAN Fine Bone China Made In England and has a Crown and Wings motif. It is totally handpainted from the pretty pink posies and minty green leaves right down to all those little gold dots! Wowzers is it gorgeous and I absolutely LOVE it!

I made the trio of tea theme handmades below and along with some more they will be in my Ebay store later today! There's a cute "Pincushion Confection" made from a vintage teacup, rose teacup accent pillow and another featuring a graceful Victorian Harrison Fisher lady enjoying a cuppa!

Last week I shared with you my story of a dear friend who sent me a surprise package filled with an awesome collection of Shelley Chintz teacups and the sweetest child's pink depression teaset!! Click HERE to read all about it and see photos of Maytime and Country Side :-)

I am featuring 3 more today - 2 more next week and the child set too! This first one is so beautiful in blue and the pattern is called Blue Daisy of course! The base has a blue on blue ferny design and is covered in springtime daisies.

For sure you've heard the phrase that goes "Please don't pick the daisies" . . . . but I must show you part of my backyard garden this spring because I DID NOT pick the daisies last year and they reseeded a thousand fold! EEEK!! Be sure to deadhead :-)


This next teacup is demitasse size and is called Summer Glory! And that she IS with a soft yellow base and big heads of fluffy hydrangea in shades of lilac, blue, pink and white.

Isn't that sweet how they did the pattern name on the bottom :-)

This next selection is a gardeners dream and is called Rock Garden! See the garden walls of rock planted with pink roses, yellow and purple crocus, bluebells, anemone, violets, and buttercups. All the teacups have the most exquisite golden base and delicate handles adding even more the the beauty of each piece.


I am still in Teacup Heaven and all goosebumpley from receiving such a glorious gift!

Hand Painted Roses & More for PINK SATURDAY

My pretty in pinks today start with 2 of my very favorite pieces featuring handpainted roses! This biggie is almost 3 feet wide and painted by Ronda Juniper Ray on an old chippy window pane. Isn't is fabulous! It is painted on glass and in the background you'll see soft pink names of popular rose varieties.

Can't you just smell their rosey yumminess!

Next are more pink roses painted on a stained glass panel with pink glass! I still remember finding this at the Kane Country Flea Market in St. Charles, IL for 10 bucks! I looked it over and over trying to find some crack or flaw that would justify such a bargain but it was perfect! I was happy to hand over the full price without even attempting to wheel and deal :-)

Sigh . . . . .

The pair of pics above are 2 loose fitting blouses that I made with vintage chenille and 40's fabric with pink roses. They are cute to wear over a tee shirt with jeans for a pop of color! I had a space in an antique shop called The Bountiful Barn and sold handmades along with antiques and collectibles. Part of the space rental was working there 2 days a week - I did LOVE having first dibs on all the new items the dealers brought in but during the day all I was thinking was how many things I could be making if I was home HA!!
I"m sure anyone who sells antiques, etc knows that the hardest part is finding things to sell that you don't want to keep for yourself :-) Anyway - I left awhile back and never regretted that decision for a second!!

A sweet lap quilt that I made for myself with a really lovely "quilted" like fabric with huge pink roses as the focal point.

I featured this teacup in my last Teacup Tuesday post and it is my very favorite pattern called Petite! I found another cup and saucer on ebay and the seller had lots of other pieces inherited from his grandmother and was so generous to let me have them for a song!
I have almost a complete setting for 9 plus lots of extra salad plates . . . and 26 cups and saucers!
Can a true China-A-holic ever have enough ;-)

This pattern has to be right up at the top of my favorites list! This vintage set has sweet cottage styling in shades of pink and cream. Made by Myott Staffordshire England Olde Chelsea in the Petite pattern.

Charming swirly design with bands of the perfect pink and light cream with circles of the sweetest pink cabbage roses! Shown here is a teacup and saucer, lidded sugar bowl and creamer.

Lovely delicate handle shapes!

This week I chose a super sweet teacup and saucer to share with you! The transfer design~front and back~ has pink cabbage roses and little blue forget me nots - a classic combination!
I especially love the dainty curved handle and narrow base of the teacup. A perfect fit for my 3 teensie Steiff teddies to play Winkin, Blinkin, and Nod :-)
I found the well loved silverplate teaset at a favorite resale shop and my freshcut garden peonies, lambs ear and roses are very happy to be displayed in the teapot and creamer!
I'll showcase this 5.00 treasure set with some favorite finds I found last week in another post!

The teacup bouquet looks like it was applied upside down don't you think :-)

Yippee Yahoo It's Teacup Tuesday!

My little Steiff teddy bears have set up for tea and one even brought along her own itty bitty cup :-)

I've had this child's teaset for a couple years and think its the sweetest! I do believe that because of the quality and daintiness of the porcelain and design that it is vintage.

The teacups are a mere 2-1/4" high and the sweet transfer bouquets are framed in a wreath of gold stamping and the swirling background designs on each piece are hand done!
The makers mark is a solid green circle with crown top and an "A" in the center . . . with the word PORZELLAN below.

Aren't they cute! I have 6 tea cups, 12 saucers, a creamer and covered sugar. Perhaps someday I will find 6 more cups :-)
