Another Cottage Chic Giveaway 4Ufrom TeacupStitches

Hello all you sweet bloggerdoodles! I hope you are enjoying the same wonderful crisp and cooler Autumn weather that we have here in the midwest.
I have been away for a bit dealing with some personal things but am back and have another giveaway for you and also have pretty new things for my Ebay and Etsy stores later today! Links on my right sidebar if you are interested :-)
I was thinking that it could be an October giveaway ~ or ~ that I am so blessed to have 650 followers!! But since I just finished my 250th embellished bottle think that will be the "official" reason! So here we go with Giveaway #16!

The winner will receive the embellished bottle, mini stocking ornament and a 4-pack of my cupcake notecards.

This bottle is a nice tall one measuring 9-1/2" to the top of the rhinestone embellished "crystal ball" style glass stopper. It is decorated with shades of ivory, taupe, cream and off white and showcases a gorgeous 1940's vintage millinery rose along with other vintage flowers, newer satin rosebuds, bitty posies, ribbon and lace bows, a sweet vintage lace "skirt" and a rhinestone heart charm.

The stocking measures about 6-1/2" not including the ribbon hanger and is created from a taupe linen, vintage laces, mother of pearl buttons, rhinestone heart charm and a bitty silvertone jingle bell! A little lavender in the toe gives it a lovely scent.

The any occasion, blank inside, "Sweet Thoughts of You" Cupcake cards are an original design and you will receive 4 ~ plus envelopes and they come in a cello bag tied with ribbon.

I have dived into the Cool Etsy Pool!

Hot Summertime greetings to all!

I have been a busy bee working on 8 ruffley rose pillows for a super nice lady in Singapore and hope to finish all by tomorrow and ship off to their new home sweet home!

If you've read my blog before you know I've mentioned how I want to start selling on Etsy but have been a scaredy cat about learning a new system :-)
I'll be going into my 14th year with ebay this fall and can list there in my sleep HA! Zzzzzzzz
 BUT I love the look of Etsy and finally took the plunge!! And it is easy peasy user friendly as anyone who already sells there knows! I opened a shop a couple days ago and am ready to share and hope you will stop in for a visit! Clic the Cupcakes to go! I do not have alot listed yet but a gazillion things are ready and waiting - pillows, embellished bottles, papergoods, pincushions . . . and will have more up later today.

Embellished French Perfume Bottle and Notecard Trio GIVEAWAY

Hot Summertime greetings!

I hope you are keeping cool and refreshed during this record-setting hot spell! I heard on the news that it is 110 degrees in Kansas YIKES! That makes our 100 seem kinda chilly . . . I keep telling myself that ;-)

I think it's about time for another giveaway don't you?? Today is my sister Cindy's birthday and that's a good reason for a giveaway celebration!

The favorites have been for my Embellished Bottles and this one has a unique twist!

TA DA!!

This giveaway (#15) includes a crystal clear embellished glass bottle ~ sans image this time ~ and a trio of French Perfume Bottle Notecards fashioned after some of my previously sold bottles! A natural progression from glass to paper :-)

The bottle is 5-3/4" high including the removable ball style glass topper and is complemented with pretty pink ribbon and vintage lace bows, vintage 1940's millinery rose, silk rosebuds, teensy ivory posies, a rhinestone flower and silvertone bow and heart charm.
Personally I love them empty and sparkling with the sun shining thru but you can fill with tiny buttons, pearls, beads, bath salts, etc.

The 3 ~ blank inside any occasion notecards ~ showcase some of our favorite Frances Brundage images. Two sweet Victorian girlies and the ever popular Southern Belle! They have ribbons, roses, a heart locket and mini skeleton key and a faceted crystal stopper. Just a hint of fine glitter for a bit of shimmer.

The original designs were created by me using vintage images, old graphics and some hand-drawn items too!

Perfume Bottles ~ and Cards ~ and Sachets oh my!

Ok, I can't resist asking . . . Hot enough for 'ya?! Eegads I can't remember when it's been quite this mugwummpy hot and humid! And this fall/winter loving gal is not enjoying it one little bit!

But thank goodness for airconditioning :-))

I have been a happy busy bee putting the finishing touches on some embellished bottle custom orders but have snuck in time to work on some new things!

I've mentioned too many times how much I love creating the vintage image label "perfume" bottles and am almost at #200! Now that's a lotta bottles!!

All my favorite Frances Brundage girls have graced many a label and this one will be on ebay later tonight with her coordinating perfume bottle notecard.

Isn't it sweet? Almost a mirror image! I have lots in the works with coordinating cards for ebay and Victoria Rose Cottage . . . and maybe etsy if I ever get to learning their listing method. I KNOW it's not hard but sometimes this ole dog doesn't like to learn new tricks :-)

Cupcakes have been a really "sweet" decorating motif for a number of years and I created this design with a whimsical appeal. This card will be available with a number of different sentiments and here is the first with a matching sachet pillow! Oh yummy!!

Teacupstitches Cottage Charm Giveaway Winner

Giveaway Winner and Lotsa Lotsa Snow!

Greetings from Snowyville USA!
Have I mentioned before that I love snow . . . you know I have :-) And it's a good thing I do because here in the Chicago suburbs we got 20 inches in 24 hours! Not quite beating the 1967 record of 24 inches but close enough. This was a true whiteout blizzard - Snowmadegon! There was blustery winds and even thunder and lightning. Don't think I've ever experience that before!

It was still snowing wednesday morning while Dave and our trusty snowblower did a mighty fine job of keeping it under control.

Just a little snow tuesday afternoon and you can see my garden cranes just have cold footsies for now. And yes that is just a vintage cottage door leading to nowhere on the side of the garage :-)

Wednesday morning . . . . Yikes HELP US!!

This door opens to a fenced in doggie area on the south side of our property and you can see that there is no going out there for Maxxie anytime soon HA!! I have to give kudos to our little village who had the snowplows out in full force and did our street every couple hours! So except for one day of craziness ~ all is pretty much back to "normal" for winter in the midwest!

And now onto the winner of my EMBELLISHED HEART BOTTLE GIVEAWAY! This time I used a random number generator and thought I could just copy and paste the "box" but it didn't turn out quite that way as you can see below. New Pretties 4U & Giveaway Ends Tonight!

Hello Sweet Bloggie Peeps!! Just a reminder that the giveaway for my Vintage Pink Santa Embellished Bottle ends tonight so if you have not yet entered I hope you will! See the PREVIOUS POST HERE for details!
I just realized that I haven't posted for 2 weeks and not because I have been lazing around enjoying the refreshing cool autumn weather we've been having . . . although I have enjoyed it :-)
Some of you know that my sweet furbaby Maxxie was diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer about 4 months ago. He has an ultrasound every month to check its progress and the 3 evil golfball size tumors have fortunately been growing slowly. Last week we found a strange looking pencil eraser size bleeding growth on his hind end and after our vet checked it out she said it must be removed immediately. He had surgery last friday and the mass was like an iceberg being much larger under the skin than she thought. Dr. Mary said she almost lost him twice on the operating table but he came thru like a trooper especially since he is 12 years old. SOoooooo we got the pathology results back today and it's the best news! It is benign!! She tells me now that she was 90% certain it was malignant .. . oh how relieved that she didn't share that with me as it would have made the wait even more unbearable! When we brought him home from the original checkup what does the little stinker do? Takes off after a squirrel, slips on a wet leaf and tears his knee ligament! He did the same thing last year and had surgery to repair it but not this time. Dr Mary said it will scar over within 12 weeks and he'll have 80% movement of his leg. In the meantime I must carry him up and down the stairs and am getting quite a workout HA! He is resting comfortably in his bed and says Hello :-)


I have a number of new pillows for EBAY and lots of new embellished bottles for Victoria Rose Cottage ~ you can clic the pics on my right sidebar to take you there!
And I must share this nice surprise I had when visiting Shirl's blog Shirls Rose Cottage (click HERE to see) last Saturday! She featured me and my cross stitch designs that I published under the name Graph-it Arts! She is quite an expert stitcher and you will marvel at all her perfect X's. Sweet Embellished Bottle GIVEAWAY #5

It's a Cottage Charm Giveaway!

Pretty New Things Made Just for You!
