This week I am linking up with MARTHA and TERRI for their Teacup Tuesday party so please jump on over and see all the other teacup lovers!

I have been so lucky and blessed to have won a couple giveaways since I started blogging in March this year and check out this GORGEOUS teapot and teacup combination called a Tea for One!! This was such a generous giveaway offered by sweet Denise at ALL OVER ROSES and my number was picked!! It was a special giveaway in honor of her cutie poochie Miss Sophie's 15th birthday :-) Yippee!! Yahoo!! isnt it the cutest ever in the perfect pinks with roses that are very Catherine Klein-ish don't you think? This is my first T-4-1 and you can see how the little teapot stacks perfectly on the cup. Notice the pink rose on the left? Denise tucked it in the beautifully wrapped package with a lovely note and would you believe it's soap! Not one bit soapy smelling - just yummy rose!

It was decorated by Betty Platner for Porcelain Treasures.

In a previous Teacup Tuesday I shared with you one of my very favorite china patterns ~ Myott Staffordshire England Olde Chelsea Petite. You can see it by clicking here. I've been fortunate to find the teapot I've been searching for and isn't it the sweetest!!

Oh so curvy swervy dainty and delicate!

Next is one of my handmade PinCushion Confections featuring a beary cute teddy sharing a cup of tea with you :-) She will be listed on ebay later today and the angel pillow in the background is available now! Click here to see my current listings . . .

Thank you for your visit today ~ I have some beautiful Shelley Chintz to show you next week and hope you'll come back to see!!

~Fun With Vintage Images~
Christmas Embellished Bottle

Happy Monday my bloggerdoodle friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and it wasn't TOO hot in your neck o' the woods! We actually have some leaves turning color already so fall is just around the corner - yippee!!
I have been playing around with vintage images for my embellished bottles and took a little swerve from my usual shabby chic-y style! I turned on some Christmas music and cranked the airconditioning to the max to get in the holiday mood and searched thru my files for some inspiration! Ok . . . I didn't really turn on the music but I should have :-)

Here is my finished project ~ didn't it turn out cute!
From my stash of bottles I chose one perfect for the new label and embellished with festive ribbons, jingle bells, holly, berries and a gingerbreadman charm. The golden glittered cork is topped with a rustic rusty star for a fun finishing touch.

For the label I selected 2 images from The Graphics Fairy ~ Karen generously shares an abundance of vintage images that will keep your creative juices flowing! I digitally layered them on top of each other ~ a charming Olde World Santa and some Christmas Sheet Music ~ the results were just what I wanted! The title translates from French to "The Christmas of Povret" ~ my search couldn't find what a Povret is but maybe someone out there knows?

I thought it would be neat to fill it with silver and gold jinglebells for the time being!
I hope you crafty ladies are beating the heat and getting inspired by Dreaming of a White Christmas!!

I'm not saying I want another winter like last year ~ you can see our patio set had some nice fluffy cushions of snow . . . but just a light dusting to set the mood :-)
Thank you for visiting today and I hope you will come back real soon!

Hand Painted Roses & More for PINK SATURDAY

Again we welcome that special day set aside for lovers of all things pink ~ PINK SATURDAY!!
Visit our sweet hostess Beverly at HOW SWEET THE SOUND to say thank you for your kindest generosity and find a long list of other pink party goers!
And I hope you'll stick around to the end to see the details of my latest giveaway and perhaps you will want to enter :-)

My pretty in pinks today start with 2 of my very favorite pieces featuring handpainted roses! This biggie is almost 3 feet wide and painted by Ronda Juniper Ray on an old chippy window pane. Isn't is fabulous! It is painted on glass and in the background you'll see soft pink names of popular rose varieties.

Can't you just smell their rosey yumminess!

Next are more pink roses painted on a stained glass panel with pink glass! I still remember finding this at the Kane Country Flea Market in St. Charles, IL for 10 bucks! I looked it over and over trying to find some crack or flaw that would justify such a bargain but it was perfect! I was happy to hand over the full price without even attempting to wheel and deal :-)

Sigh . . . . .

The pair of pics above are 2 loose fitting blouses that I made with vintage chenille and 40's fabric with pink roses. They are cute to wear over a tee shirt with jeans for a pop of color! I had a space in an antique shop called The Bountiful Barn and sold handmades along with antiques and collectibles. Part of the space rental was working there 2 days a week - I did LOVE having first dibs on all the new items the dealers brought in but during the day all I was thinking was how many things I could be making if I was home HA!!
I"m sure anyone who sells antiques, etc knows that the hardest part is finding things to sell that you don't want to keep for yourself :-) Anyway - I left awhile back and never regretted that decision for a second!!

A sweet lap quilt that I made for myself with a really lovely "quilted" like fabric with huge pink roses as the focal point.

I featured this teacup in my last Teacup Tuesday post and it is my very favorite pattern called Petite! I found another cup and saucer on ebay and the seller had lots of other pieces inherited from his grandmother and was so generous to let me have them for a song!
I have almost a complete setting for 9 plus lots of extra salad plates . . . and 26 cups and saucers!
Can a true China-A-holic ever have enough ;-)

The elusive teapot!
And below - such dainty curves . . .

Thank you so much for visiting me today! Please take an extra sec to view my giveaway #5 for this darling Frances Brundage girl embellished perfume bottle.

Having Fun with Ballerinas & Pink Roses

Monday greetings to my Bloggerdoodle Buddies visiting today! I hope you shared in the nice weekend weather that we did here in the midwest . . . cooled down into the 70's and we actually turned off the air conditioning on Sunday!
The 2nd annual Rooster Party hosted by sweet Barb at Bella Vista was such fun and there were so many participants that I still have lots of bloggers to visit yet! Be sure to check it out ~ you will fall in love with roosters if you haven't already!
I found a super sweet vintage ballerina graphic awhile back at The Graphics Fairy ~ isn't it cute! I couldn't decide whether to make a pillow or an embellished bottle project and finally ended up doing both :-)

I couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out and the pillow will be on ebay soon and the bath bottle available over at Victoria Rose Cottage.
The darling original print was grey tones and I decided to "shabby" it up a bit with a hint of pink and transformed all the roses into cottage pink beauties! I had previously made the wreath of roses with elements from a couple vintage postcards and it was the perfect frame for the pretty ballerinas.
The design was printed onto cotton fabric and the pillow is made with vintage pink damask and ruffle of scattered roses. A vintage pink ribbon bow ties up the sparkling crystal rhinestone heart charm for a perfect finishing accent.

The embellished perfume, bath or vanity bottle has a faceted lucite and cork topper and features pretty ribbons and lace, millinery flowers, a cute "whitewashed key which was formerly a pin and lots of rhinestones including another heart!
Thanks so much for stopping by and before you leave please be sure to check out my latest GIVEAWAY!

A hen house of big thank yous to Sweet Barb from BELLA VISTA for hosting the 2nd Annual Rooster Party! So stick around for a bit and enjoy my post and then fly off to see the biggest, grandest flock of assorted Roosters you could ever even dream of!

This trio of handpainted Rooster plates was found at Marshalls about 8 years ago. I had every intention of selling them on ebay but I just couldn't part with them. They've been stored away in a drawer all the while and it's about time they came out to play :-)

I made this cute glass jar with a darling rooster graphic from Sonny at 155 Dream Lane ! Be sure to drop by and see her wonderful blog! I added a gingham ribbon bow and little rooster charm . . . inside stores some of my favorite candies ~ Atomic Fireballs! They are not for the faint of heart :-)

I made this pillow for ebay a number of years ago and just love the fabric design and super fluffy fringe!
The following 5 pic are some of my previously sold totes each featuring cute roosters from realistic & French Country to whimsical and silly :-)

TEACUP TUESDAY #10~Childs Rose TeaSet

Greetings to all the Teacup lovers visiting for another Teacup Tuesday!
Thanks go to sweet MARTHA and sweet TERRI for hosting this weekly Tea party! Click on either of their names to be wisked off to see more pretty teacups 'n' things :-)

This week I am sharing another of my child's teasets. I remember on a previous Teacup Tuesday someone showcased a "regular" set in this pattern but I can not remember who or what the name of the design was!

On the white porcelain is a transfer design of raspberry pink roses. I have quite a few pieces including cups and saucers, plates, teapot, creamer, salt and pepper shakers, oval platter, cutout handle platter and even a soup tureen. I still need to hunt for a sugar bowl and 4 more cups to complete a service for 8.
My originally white 3" Steiff teddy bear is such a hambone :-)

Closeup view of the pattern with a sterling thimble for size comparison.

A simple JAPAN mark is on all the pieces and looks like it may some kind of bird motif.
Thank you for your visit today and if you have an extra sec be sure to check out my latest giveaway ~ click
