Hello and how are you!!
I'd like to take a moment to wish you all a Happy Fathers Day weekend and hope you are blessed to still have your Daddy in your life!!
This first pic shows me, Dad and my brother Bobby back in the "good ole days"!

We used to go on family camping/fishing trips and I always loved this photo of Dad and me on a chilly windy day in the boonies of upstate Wisconsin.

My Dad has been gone 33 years now and I still miss him and will always be Daddy's Little Girl!
Thank you for visiting today!!

Busy in Our Garden of Weeden

I hope you are all getting ready for the long Memorial Day weekend ahead!
My nephew Lucas is graduating from high school Saturday and then we are all going out for a nice dinner. The rest of the weekend is BBQ hopping :-)
I thought you may like to see some of my garden photos today so chose a couple pics to share! I'm fond of gardens with paths that meander here & there and are a little on the "wild side"! Cottage garden style with cute little accent pieces to move around as things bloom.

A rusty old chair to rest while weeding at a dead-end path.

No garden is complete without pink roses! Although I need to read labels more carefully so they do not get so big as to overgrow their trellis :-)

I like to mix contrasting colors in the garden that make each other pop!

The vintage red glider WAY in the back was a super curbside find!

My cute froggie is actually a birdfeeder and likes to hop all over the garden and hide!
I hope you enjoyed your visit today ~ please drop by again soon!

May all your weeds be wildflowers,

Lynn

Isn't this the sweetest vintage elastic! Its pink with silkscreened pink roses and buds.

Hello Sweet Bloggie Friends!
Oh my it was so blustery windy today! We were predicted to get our first 1" of snow but so far nothing. I DO LOVE snow and the first snowfall is such fun for this young lady  ole gal :-)
Well are you ready for another giveaway? I was trying to think of a reason for one and I just realized that on November 4th I entered my 14th year of selling on ebay! Can you believe that!!
When I started there were only a couple digital cameras available, no Paypal, no Priority Mail, no online postage, no cellphones, no ipods, no GOOGLE!  . . . I'd better stop because I'm feeling REALLY ancient right now ~ sigh.
Do you remember when they first offered Priority Mail the slogan was
~ 2 Pounds ~ 2 Days ~ 2 Dollars ~
And for sales and purchases there was a 10 day wait for checks to clear and thank goodness I only had one that bounced!
I'm sounding like my grandmother here - hehe
I've met the most wonderful people over these 14 years and have some of the best friends still to this day!

Eight years ago I started offering these darling little stocking sachets and have always been my favorite thing to make for you! The pic below is from 2004 and you can see that the shape and style has stayed pretty much the same. I thought this giveaway would be for a pair of sweet sockies so zoom down below this photo to see what you will be entering for and I hope you will want to win this giveaway!

Here we go with Teacupstitches Giveaway #18 which is for the set of lavender stocking sachets seen below.
They are made with a cute pink and ivory floral toile with layers of gorgeous vintage laces, Vintage Mother of Pearl Buttons, Ribbon and Lace Bows, sweet silvertone heart charms in lieu of jinglebells at the toes and one is embellished with a rhinestone heart charm ~ the other a star.

They are filled with a generous 1/2+ cup of California grown lavender buds and a bit of fiberfil and not including the ribbon loop hangers they measure approximately 6-1/2 to 7" from top left to bottom right.
They are adorable displayed from shelf pegs, chairbacks, cabinet and dresser knobs, Christmas trees and would even make a cute package tie for a special gift. I like to display them in a cabinet shelf with my vintage teacups and cottage collectibles.

If you would like to enter the rules are simple and you have the option of receiving  1 entery tossed into the digital hat for each of the numbered items below. At the end of the giveaway duration, each comment is numbered 1 thru ?? in order from the comments left on this Giveaway post only and the winner will be drawn December 10th using the Random Number Generator.

Vintage Pink Santa and Roses Giveaway #17!

Hello sweet blogger ladies!
Thank you to everyone that entered my last giveaway! I so appreciate your kind comments :-)))) I LOVE to offer Giveaways so are you ready for another one? Ok, here we go . . .
Giveaway #17 is all about vintage pink santas and roses! I created the design last season using 3 different vintage postcards that I altered, combined and tweeked! It's changed a bit this year by adding a shadow of french script in the background. I love the way it turned out and hope you do too!
The winner will receive the sachet pillow, one of my embellished bottles and a set of 4 coordinating cards.

The design has an oval frame of roses to showcase a Victorian santa in pink robe with a decorated fir tree and basket of toys ~ antique doll, clown and horse pull-toy. Printed onto fabric it becomes the focal point of the sweet sachet pillow which measures 10-1/2 x 11-3/4" including the ruffle and is made from pretty pink rose fabrics, vintage lace and a rhinestone heart charm tied with pink satin ribbon bow. It is stuffed with fiberfil and a 1 cup lavender sachet. The petite perfume bottle has a pink santa label and is 5-1/4" to top of the glass stopper and features the same embellishments plus a parchment rose.

And the 4 blank inside cards have the sentiment A Joyous Christmas Greeting and are packed in a cellophane bag tied with ribbon.

If you would like to win these pretty items the rules are simple and you have the option of receiving up to 4 ENTRIES tossed into the digital hat :-) At the end of the giveaway duration, each comment is numbered 1 thru ?? in order from the comments left on this Giveaway post only and the winner will be drawn November 21st using the Random Number Generator.

Embellished French Perfume Bottle and Notecard Trio GIVEAWAY

Hot Summertime greetings!
I hope you are keeping cool and refreshed during this record-setting hot spell! I heard on the news that it is 110 degrees in Kansas YIKES! That makes our 100 seem kinda chilly . . . I keep telling myself that ;-)
I think it's about time for another giveaway don't you?? Today is my sister Cindy's birthday and that's a good reason for a giveaway celebration!
The favorites have been for my Embellished Bottles and this one has a unique twist!
TA DA!!
This giveaway (#15) includes a crystal clear embellished glass bottle ~ sans image this time ~ and a trio of French Perfume Bottle Notecards fashioned after some of my previously sold bottles! A natural progression from glass to paper :-)
The bottle is 5-3/4" high including the removable ball style glass topper and is complemented with pretty pink ribbon and vintage lace bows, vintage 1940's millinery rose, silk rosebuds, teensy ivory posies, a rhinestone flower and silvertone bow and heart charm.
Personally I love them empty and sparkling with the sun shining thru but you can fill with tiny buttons, pearls, beads, bath salts, etc.

The 3 ~ blank inside any occasion notecards ~ showcase some of our favorite Frances Brundage images. Two sweet Victorian girlies and the ever popular Southern Belle! They have ribbons, roses, a heart locket and mini skeleton key and a faceted crystal stopper. Just a hint of fine glitter for a bit of shimmer.

The original designs were created by me using vintage images, old graphics and some hand-drawn items too!

Perfume Bottles ~ and Cards ~ and Sachets oh my!

Ok, I can't resist asking . . . Hot enough for 'ya?! Eegads I can't remember when it's been quite this mugwummpy hot and humid! And this fall/winter loving gal is not enjoying it one little bit!
But thank goodness for airconditioning :-))
I have been a happy busy bee putting the finishing touches on some embellished bottle custom orders but have snuck in time to work on some new things!
I've mentioned too many times how much I love creating the vintage image label "perfume" bottles and am almost at #200! Now that's a lotta bottles!!
All my favorite Frances Brundage girls have graced many a label and this one will be on ebay later tonight with her coordinating perfume bottle notecard.

Isn't it sweet? Almost a mirror image! I have lots in the works with coordinating cards for ebay and Victoria Rose Cottage . . . and maybe etsy if I ever get to learning their listing method. I KNOW it's not hard but sometimes this ole dog doesn't like to learn new tricks :-)

Cupcakes have been a really "sweet" decorating motif for a number of years and I created this design with a whimsical appeal. This card will be available with a number of different sentiments and here is the first with a matching sachet pillow! Oh yummy!!
Life is Short ~ Eat dessert first!

Keep comfy and cool and stop by again soon . . . another GIVEAWAY is coming!!
Hugs and Smiles,
Lynn
