Hello sweet bloggerdoodles! Great big THANK YOU'S to all who left some wonderful comments to enter my giveaway (#13) for the Frances Brundage girl sachet and embellished bottle! I Soooooo appreciate each and every one! I will have another giveaway HOPEFULLY tomorrow so please stop on by to see :-)
Anywho . . . I again used the Random Number Generator to select the winner of the Cottage Charm Giveaway that ended on May 29th and it chose #99 which is . . . . Wendi at Once Upon a Rose Haven! You must go over and see the fantabulous garden shed they built! I think I need to give ours a shabby makeover with some added gingerbread so it doesn't look so much like the little grey barn you see below . . .

Thanks again and I'll be back very soon!

TEACUP TUESDAY with pretty pink roses

Many thank you's go to MARTHA and sweet TERRI for hosting this weekly Tea party! Click on either of their names to be wisked off to see more pretty teacups 'n' things :-)
If you haven't seen my latest giveaway please take a sec and stop over to this post and enter to win a pretty Frances Brundage pillow and embellished bottle!

I chose one of my favorite pink rose teacups and teapots to share today. Can you imagine having an entire teaset of either of these sweeties?

The teacup is a thin, delicate, porcelain covered in soft pink roses. I love the shape of the handle and it looks kind of like a little heart! There are dainty scallops and hints of golden wash on the edges.
The tea pot has the cutest little cottage pink rosebuds scattered all about, with more gold touches. The "shell" shape design reminds me of a Grandmothers Flower Garden Quilt design!

The pot is marked SADLER ENGLAND on the bottom as is most of my favorite teapots! The cup and saucer has a makers mark pattern that I can not figure out and is signed M.Z. Austria with a handpainted 9. I hope you enjoyed my selections this week.
I have lots of new things going to my Ebay shoppe today so please take a peek if you'd like to see!
Enjoy a terrific Teacup Tuesday!!
Hugs and Smiles,
Lynn

Cottage Charm & 1 Year Anniversary Giveaway

Greetings to all on this gorgeous Spring monday! Well, March 22nd was the one year anniversary of starting my blog and the date passed by without me noticing! Naughty me :-)) I've met so many new bloggie friends and reunited with lots of "old" ebay buddies too! It is a small world in the Land of Blog HA!
Well, of course I must have another thank you giveaway and am combining it with the Cottage Charm Giveaway hosted by Kim at The Twice Remembered Cottage. Her blog is such an inspirational place to visit!

For Giveaway #13, I made you a sweet and petite lavender sachet and matching embellished bottle. Hope you likey :-) The center of attention is a darling young girl originally painted many many moons ago by the beloved artist Frances Brundage. Along with the pretty in pink girl, I used a number of other vintage graphics to create the design including an oval of pink roses, french script & soft "lace" in the background.

The sachet pillow-ette features pink rose fabrics, vintage lace, millinery roses, ribbon bow and a heart of sparkling rhinestones. It measures 9" x 10" including the ruffle and has a ribbon hanger giving you the option of displaying from a doorknob, peg, etc. if you wish! The charming frosty glass bottle is 6-1/2" high including the removable glass ball topper and is embellished with pretty blossoms, rhinestones, ribbons and a vintage rhinestone button.
If this is something you'd like to win then read on for the simple rules!

Friday greetings and I hope you are all doing great!

I'd love to have you check out and enter my latest giveway which started on March 15th and ends TONIGHT. I'll announce the winner in a couple days! Clic the Pic below to see it. We moved into our current home 15 years ago one and of the things about it that we so loved was the full walk up attic with fabulous old beams and angles with lots of nooks and crannies. Our Prairie style home had her 100th birthday this year and you can see in the first pic that the attic is very vintage! Actually, I can now say its a true antique right :-)

We had grand plans of converting it into a wonderful creative space for me but as you can see nothing has happened and at this point nothing will HA! The photo shows about 1/4 of the space and we've just used it for storage and have lots of boxes and trunks full of stuff from when we moved in and accumulated over the years. I'm sure you all know how that goes . . . I love going up there and its not a bit scarey ~ even at night! I was rummaging around and found one of my portfolios of graphic arts projects from a class I took many, many . . . many moons ago ;-) and thought you may enjoy a couple of the pieces. This was back in 1979-80 and way before PC's so everything was done by hand. I had always thought I wanted to be a commercial artist but only stayed one year and gradually got so into designing cross stitch patterns and that turned out to be my passion and profession. More about that in another post soon!

This assignment was to design rough layout for an album cover (remember album covers :-)) ~ and I chose the soundtrack of the movie GREASE with John Travolta and Olivia Newton John. This is the scene at the end of the movie when they were dancing and singing "You're the One that I Want" in that rocky box thing at the highschool graduation party. It was done all in colored markers and I don't know how it got the water damage!

The backside is a chalkboard - complete with smudges :-)

The start of a car ad - done in Gouache, which is like a watercolor tempera paint.

Pencil drawing ~ I don't remember the project but its a lady with her feet in the sand. Her fingers seem a bit long dont they HA!!

This lady seems to have lost her mind - hehe . . . start of a fashion ad worked in watercolors. I also found all my paints and markers and they are as fresh as the day they were stored which has me inspired to start painting again. Although NOTHING like these boring projects that's for sure! I am craving pink roses of course! Thanks so much for visiting and I'll see you again soon!

Hugs and Blessings, Lynn

Celebrating Spring & Pretty New Things!

Happy Friday Everyone!
To quote Mr Rogers "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood" here in my area of Illinois! Our 24" snowfall has all melted and the light dusting we got the other day is also history. There are bits and bobs of greenery popping up everywhere . . . daffodils, tulips, lily of the valley, crocus, peonies, flowering bush budlettes and the dreaded creeping charlie (ground ivy) which is the scorn of my gardening existence!
I have been so busy making pretty new things for you and just never seem to get around to listing them HA! Lots of new goodies have been sent over to Victoria Rose Cottage but may not show up for awhile and ebay listings start friday with Buy it Nows and below are some sneak peeks!
Please click my sidebar ebay link and perhaps find something you would like to have for your own home sweet home :-)

I'd love to have you check out my last post for info on my latest giveaway! It's a cutie :-)
Thank you so much for visiting today and I wish you all a wonderful first weekend of Spring!
